Terms

These terms govern your use of Tunr (the macOS and Windows audio mastering application) and the website at tunr.studio. Tunr is operated by A. O. Signtech (company registration no. 513915652, an Israeli company with its registered office at Harakefet 9, Zikhron Yaakov, Israel), operating under the brand "Tunr" ("we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, installing, or using Tunr you agree to these terms.

Your licence to use Tunr

Tunr is proprietary software. When you download the free tier or purchase a licence, A. O. Signtech grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and run the Tunr application on your own macOS or Windows machines, subject to these terms. You may:

• Use Tunr for any purpose, including commercial work.
• Master your own tracks, your clients' tracks, anyone's tracks.
• Sell or release the mastered audio. We claim no rights in your audio output.

Except where a bundled component's own licence expressly permits it (see "Third-party components"), you may not:

• Copy, redistribute, resell, rent, sublicense, or publish the Tunr application or your licence key.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the application, except to the extent that restriction is prohibited by applicable law.
• Remove or alter any proprietary or licence notices in the software.

What we sell at tunr.studio is a ready-to-run build of Tunr (signed + notarised on macOS) plus the validation service that activates it.

The license you buy

When you purchase Tunr you receive a license key that unlocks unlimited mastering on up to two of your personal macOS or Windows machines. Specifically:

• One license, two activations. Typical use: laptop + studio.
• You may move your license to a different machine yourself; the app has a self-service "Deactivate this machine" button, with no cooldown.
• You may not share, resell, or publish your license key. Your licence key is a private credential issued to you; sharing or publishing it invalidates the key.
• Free updates for the lifetime of the license, including major versions.

The free tier

Without a paid license, Tunr renders three masters total on a given machine. Every other feature (A/B mixer, batch mode, all analyses, both bit depths) remains available indefinitely. After three masters, the Master button shows a paywall until you buy a license.

Acceptable use

Don't use Tunr for anything unlawful in your jurisdiction. Don't attempt to circumvent or attack the license-validation service in order to bypass payment. Beyond that, master whatever you want.

Third-party components

Tunr includes third-party open-source components, among them Matchering, Pedalboard, pyloudnorm, and FFmpeg, each distributed under its own licence (which, for some components, is the GPL-3.0). Those licences govern the respective components and are unaffected by these terms; the terms above apply to the Tunr application as a whole and to the licence key and activation service.

Payments & Merchant of Record

All paid transactions are processed by Paddle, our Merchant of Record. This means Paddle (not us) is the seller of record on your invoice, handles the payment, and is responsible for collecting and remitting VAT, GST, or sales tax in your country. By purchasing, you also agree to Paddle's buyer terms.

Disclaimer of warranties

Tunr is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do our best: the engine has a test suite, every macOS release is signed and notarised, and the chain has been validated against commercial masters, but we make no warranty that Tunr will be error-free, fit for any particular purpose, or compatible with every macOS or Windows configuration. Always render to a safe path and listen before you publish.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, A. O. Signtech is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Tunr, including lost masters, lost reputation, or lost listening hours. Our total liability for direct damages, if any, is capped at the amount you paid for your license.

Termination

We may revoke a license key that has been shared publicly or used to attack the licensing service. Refunds processed through Paddle automatically revoke the corresponding license. You may stop using Tunr at any time by uninstalling it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Israel, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Nothing in these terms removes any mandatory consumer protection you are entitled to under the laws of your country of residence; those rights are preserved.

Changes

We'll update the "last updated" date above when these terms change. Material changes trigger an email to active license holders 14 days before they take effect; continued use of Tunr after that date means you accept the revised terms.
