Does Tunr work offline?
Yes, completely. Everything happens on your Mac or PC, so your unreleased tracks never leave your computer and never touch a server. No subscription, no account, and no internet connection needed to master.
Mac, Windows, or Linux?
Tunr runs on macOS (Apple Silicon and Intel, macOS 11 and up) and Windows (10 and up) today. Linux may follow later.
What's the difference vs LANDR or CloudBounce?
Those tools upload your track to the cloud, charge a monthly subscription, and cap how much you can do. Tunr works entirely on your Mac or PC, costs $49 once, and gives you unlimited masters. Nothing's uploaded, and nothing expires. It also tailors the sound to your genre, which most cloud tools don't.
Plugin or standalone?
A standalone app, not a plugin. There's nothing to install into a DAW: you drop a track in and get a finished master back.
What does Tunr do to my track?
In Auto mode it listens to your track and masters it for you. It balances the tone, controls the dynamics, adds warmth and width, and brings the track up to a competitive, release-ready loudness without crushing it. In Reference mode you give it a song you love, and Tunr matches your track's tone, punch, and loudness to it.
What's the free tier exactly?
Three full masters, free. Every mode and every export option is included, with no watermark and no drop in quality. After your third master on a machine, you'll be asked to unlock. Comparing and analysing tracks in the A/B Mixer stays free forever; only saving a finished master counts toward the three.
Updates after I buy?
Every update is free for the life of your licence, including big new versions. No surprise 'upgrade for $39' pop-ups.
How many machines can I install on?
Two per licence. Laptop plus studio is the typical split, and you can move your licence to another machine yourself, anytime, with no support ticket.
